Authors will be notified about acceptance on 13 November.

How to Submit Your Abstract

Deadline 14 September (Max 2 pages, 500 words)

  1. Create an account on the ConfTool platform
  2. Enter your ConfTool account and fill in your personal information
  3. Go to “Your Submissions” and select the session you would like to contribute to
  4. Fill in the submission form
  5. Upload your abstract in PDF format. Please do not forget to use the mandatory template
  6. Click on “Upload File(s) and Save Submission”
  7. Deadline: 14 September 2026

Requirements and Criteria for a Good Abstract

All submissions are going to be reviewed by distinguished experts. To ensure your abstract is of high quality and among the selected ones, the given structure and criteria should be followed.

Introduction and Background

  • Keep it very precise (e.g. do not repeat the call for papers and it is already very well known that climate change is a challenge and driver)
  • Include the concrete challenge you are addressing and/or describe the research question.
  • What is your innovation related to power systems?

Approach

  • Describe the method and/or use case you applied in your work.

Results and Conclusions

  • Include results and conclusions. At least preliminary or exemplary results.
  • Results include experiences, insights and conclusions from power system operators and component manufacturers daily business.

Format

Your abstract should be max. 500 words. Illustrations are welcome but the document shall not exceed two pages.

The file should be submitted in .pdf and should use the provided mandatory template.

Abstracts not providing the requested content will be lower rated and most probably rejected.

Why should you submit a paper?

Submitting a paper to CIRED 2027 is a unique opportunity to present your views and share your ideas with hundreds of leading professionals. CIRED provides a unique forum to discuss and debate technical, operational and business matters, including the opportunity to interact with key players from utilities, industrial users, manufacturers, regulators, consultants and academics.

Keep in mind that, in order for your full paper to be presented, at least one author has to be registered as participant for CIRED 2027 in Stockholm (maximum one paper presented by registered author).

Benefits of submitting

  • Every accepted and presented paper will be distributed to all attendees via the CIRED 2027 proceedings
  • Every accepted and presented paper will published on the IET library. They will be Scopus indexed and available on IEEE Xplore.
  • Every author of an accepted paper will be given the opportunity and will be strongly encouraged to display his/her work in the CIRED interactive poster session with guided tours
  • Selected authors will be invited by the session chairs to give a 12-minute presentation in the main sessions with the aim of ensuring an interesting and balanced debate
  • Papers with a special focus on research and innovation will be selected for presentation and discussion in the Research and Innovation Forum
